An hour of music. Contains tracks from Territorial Gobbing, Pat Murano, Olivia Block, Graham Lambkin + Jason Lescalleet, Alice Kemp, Lia Kohl + Zander Raymond, Minamo, The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters, and Inge Marie.

The opening track, "❤️," is from Hermit Card, an album by Leeds weirdo Theo Gowans, who records as Territorial Gobbing. Over the last decade, Gowans has amassed a bewildering array of releases and projects, an inveterate sonic adventurer and enthusiastic tryer-out of approaches, less a multi-instrumentalist than an "almost-musician" (as this bio would have it). Hermit Card emerges from Gowans' experiments with the đàn môi, a Vietnamese mouth harp, reportedly chosen to honor the demands of a friend. Gowan mangles the harp and his own vocals together through an AutoTune thresher, which sounds on paper like the recipe for a punishing experience—yet the results are, at least to my ears, surprisingly listenable.
