I had the good fortune to catch them this week as the headlining act for the I Heart Noise fest in Providence, RI. The set was marred in a few places by some unfortunate technical complications but for long stretches they proved that they can still transport a rapt audience to their personal sonic zone.

In the liner notes to this recent release of two massive longform pieces (each nearly an hour long!), Windy writes candidly about how the duo has been weathering the last decade or so. Like many of us, the two of them have experienced loss, financial setback, and health complications in the COVID years, and Windy says she even quit making music for a time in the depths of a long depression. So, if you're a fan of this kind of music, it's worth taking a moment to feel some gratitude that they're still out there, keepers of a unique light.
